Friday Wrap-Up: Best of November

So November wasn’t the hottest month for some couch reading snuggling was it? Well, it wasn’t at least in BookPairing land, but I hope it was for you out there reading this! I did have some fun posts in November though that made up for all the lack of reading (and who am I kidding? I wasn’t reading really because I was reading blogs or watching movies so one and the same right?).

My favorite posts this November were the gift pairings I put together for the holidays. There are some recommendations for health nuts, foodies, and business innovators. I have a few more lined up for the first few weeks in December–mostly looking forward to a collaborative one on gifts for teachers.

There was also some delicious pork guisada paired with Junot Diaz’s This Is How You Lose Her. That’s been leftoverized like crazy and we still have some in the freezer (the guisada, not the novel–that had to go back to the library, wop wop).

I did a quickie on a genre I haven’t touched on too much before–dramas–and also paired the new Cloud Atlas movie with, well Cloud Atlas the novel (shock and awe: the movie was better IMO). Oh and the dogs made it onto the blog, yet. again.

I read, erm, kind of 4 books this month:

Now looking forward to December–the month of best-of lists and reading resolutions (and The Hobbit! double squees). Also, finally a pairing for John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars because the library is now yammering for that one as well as you dear readers. :D

What were your favorite reads in November?
